【Three Days of Zscaler Hands-on Labs: Putting Zero Trust Skills to the Test】
As enterprises increasingly adopt Zero Trust security architectures, mastering these technologies has become essential for IT professionals. To help partners deepen their expertise in Zscaler solutions, advance along the Zscaler Specialization Tracks, and better prepare for the related certifications, edvance ran a three-day Zscaler Technical Workshop, led online by Zscaler’s Lead Technical Trainer, APJ, Adonis Li. Each day was built around intensive Hands-on Labs, giving participants real experience on the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange platform rather than just slides to take home.
Here’s what the three days looked like:
📋 Day 1 — Zscaler for Users – Administrator (EDU-200)
Day one was all about giving administrators the foundation to manage and continuously optimise the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange — across ZIA, ZPA, and ZDX. Participants worked through zero trust fundamentals, user and device administration, and advanced security policy design spanning Firewall, DLP, and Threat Protection. The day wrapped up with a deep dive into ZDX, covering how to monitor digital experience, make sense of detailed analytics, and get ahead of issues before they become problems.
🔗 Day 2 — Zero Trust Branch (EDU-280)
Day two tackled one of the bigger shifts in enterprise networking: moving away from the tangle of routers, firewalls, and VPNs that traditional branch setups depend on. Participants explored how Zscaler Zero Trust Branch delivers secure, simplified connectivity for branches, factories, and data centres — and how zero trust protection extends all the way to servers and IoT/OT devices regardless of location. The second half of the day focused on Privileged Remote Access (PRA), looking at how organisations can lock down access to critical systems without sacrificing the speed and flexibility that teams need day to day.
🛡️ Day 3 — Data Security (EDU-220)
The final day zoomed in on data security — an area where many organisations are still catching up. Participants got a thorough walkthrough of Zscaler’s Data Security Suite within the Zero Trust Exchange platform, learning how to configure and monitor policies that protect sensitive data and keep the business on the right side of compliance. The day also took a step back to look at the bigger picture: why the traditional approach to data security no longer cuts it, and how Zscaler’s framework closes the gaps across every channel data travels through.
Three days, three disciplines — and by the end, partners walked away genuinely prepared for the full scope of enterprise Zero Trust deployment.
